Impact of International Student Mobility in Distinctive Disciplines on Internationalization Capabilities

To deeply analyze the impact of international student mobility on their internationalization capabilities in the field of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering, this study systematically reviewed the exchange dynamics of international students at Southwest Petroleum University from 2014 to 2024, as well as detailed data on students’ overseas visits from 2016 to 2024, carefully outlining the trends and characteristics of student international mobility over the past decade. Based on this, using an evaluation system for internationalization capabilities constructed by the authors, which closely follows the characteristics of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering and covers key dimensions such as language skills, international perspective, cross-cultural communication, and global cooperation, graduate students from the research team of international students were selected as a sample group. Through a carefully designed survey questionnaire, their current internationalization capabilities were systematically evaluated. The results showed that compared to the benchmark level in 2019, students’ internationalization capabilities have shown a significant improvement trend, especially in cross-cultural communication. This finding not only reveals the positive role of international student mobility in promoting academic exchanges and integration but also further emphasizes the unique value of multicultural integration in scientific research teams to enhance the internationalization capabilities of domestic students.

The Impact of Training Opportunities on Job Satisfaction Among Teachers: Mediating Role of AI Self-Efficacy

This study examines how training opportunities influence teachers' job satisfaction, emphasizing the mediating effect of AI self-efficacy among primary and secondary school teachers in Wuhan, China. Current research employed a quantitative, cross-sectional design. Data were collected using an online questionnaire from 655 primary and secondary school teachers in Wuhan. Structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) was utilized for data analysis. Results confirmed significant positive relationships between training opportunities and both AI self-efficacy and job satisfaction. Besides, AI self-efficacy was found to significantly mediate the relationship between training opportunities and job satisfaction. This study contributes to the body of knowledge by empirically showed the relatively unexplored psychological pathway (AI self-efficacy) linking training opportunities to job satisfaction within AI-intensive educational contexts. The findings enhance understanding of how structured training in AI can positively influence teachers' attitudes and job-related outcomes. Educational policymakers and administrators can utilise these findings to develop specialised training programs, thereby improving teacher self-efficacy, job satisfaction and overall effectiveness in responding to technology changes.

Exploration of the Contradictions and Countermeasures in Medical Students' Internships, Postgraduate Entrance Examinations, and Employment from the Perspective of Work-Study Conflict

Objective: The objective of this research is to thoroughly investigate the extent of mutual interference among clinical internships, postgraduate entrance examinations, and employment by examining engineering contradictions, thus offering theoretical insights and guidance for medical students to attain high-quality outcomes in clinical internships. Methods: A combination of literature reviews, questionnaires, interviews, and observations of internships was utilized, followed by a statistical analysis to assess the levels of interference among the three factors. Results: The senior participants achieved significantly higher scores than their junior counterparts in evaluations of comprehensive humanistic quality, understanding professional values, communication abilities, clinical skills, and attitudes towards learning, with differences that were statistically significant (p < 0.05). After applying an interactive training approach that merges early clinical practice with foundational medical education, both groups displayed notable enhancements in activity content, formats, instructor attitudes, clinical performance, and the blending of theory with practice (p < 0.05). Conclusion: By emphasizing ‘early clinical’ education, students are effectively engaged in clinical practice through active involvement, leading to feedback-oriented training. This strategy not only improves the overall quality of internships but also reduces the risk of scheduling conflicts with postgraduate entrance examinations and employment opportunities.

In recent years, with the continuous development of educational digitalization, the integration model of SPOC (Small Private Online Course) and flipped classroom can integrate online teaching resources and offline teaching resources, overcome the shortcomings of traditional teaching models, and enhance students' enthusiasm for learning and autonomous learning ability. This model has become a popular direction in the reform of teaching models. Meanwhile, the advantages of the Zhihuishu knowledge graph platform, such as knowledge coherence and complete teaching modules, are highly beneficial for the promotion of the flipped classroom teaching model based on SPOC. This research will adopt methods such as literature review, investigation and research, questionnaire survey, and in-depth interview to analyze the application effect and optimization path of the flipped classroom teaching model based on SPOC on the Zhihuishu platform in college English teaching. The theoretical basis, practical effect and existing problems of the model were specifically analyzed, and corresponding optimization suggestions were put forward.

The Opinions on Comprehensively Deepening Curriculum Reform to Fulfill the Fundamental Task of Strengthening Moral Education issued by the Ministry of Education in 2015 explicitly identified Project-Based Learning (PBL) as a pivotal approach for cultivating core competencies, leading to its widespread pilot implementation in primary and secondary schools with expanding influence. Examining the intellectual foundations of PBL research in China contributes to a deeper understanding of its theoretical and practical dimensions. Using Cite Space to analyze 156 PBL-related articles from the CSSCI database reveals that the knowledge base is primarily constructed from two domains:1.Theoretical foundation—Cited authors and literature focus on PBL's conceptual framework and value, encompassing interdisciplinary PBL, core competency development, and educational objectives； 2.Empirical studies—Key references emphasize case studies across K-12 education, general high schools, and tertiary education. In the future, project-based learning should delve into exploring the connotation and value of project-based learning from a dual-subject comprehensive perspective, conduct case studies on project-based learning in vocational education, and promote interdisciplinary integration of core competencies through project-based learning.

A Study of Discourse Markers in Foreign Language Classrooms from the Perspective of Conversation Analysis

Based on conversation analysis theory, this study explored how teachers and students used discourse markers in foreign language classrooms and how these markers affect classroom interaction. The results showed that teachers use different discourse markers in different teaching stages such as lead-in, presentation, practice and summary to make their teaching more organized and clearer. However, students used these markers less often, and their expressions are often less coherent. Based on these findings, the study suggests teaching strategies for teachers and learning strategies for students to improve how they use discourse markers. This can help make foreign language teaching more effective and interactive.

Dynamic Trajectory of Sharing Behavior in Rural 4–5 Children: A Situational Experiment

Sharing behavior is of great significance to the development of young children. This paper takes 170 middle class children as a sample to explore the influencing factors of sharing behavior in preschool children and its age development characteristics. This study shows that the score of willingness to share and the number of shares was inversely proportional to the value of the shared items; When there is an abundance of items to share, children share significantly more in the presence of the sharing partner than in the absence of the partner. Based on the findings, educational recommendations are made from three aspects: cultivating intrinsic motivation in children, enhancing the stability of children’s behavior, and guiding children to form correct values.

This paper aims to explore the relationship between ESAP, the output of academic paper abstracts, and international communication effectiveness, so as to provide new ideas for enhancing international communication effectiveness. Through a questionnaire survey and combined with the structural equation model analysis method, the results show that the improvement of ESAP has a positive effect on the output of academic paper abstracts and international communication effectiveness; the output of academic paper abstracts can also positively enhance international communication effectiveness; meanwhile, the output of academic paper abstracts has a significant mediating effect.

A Study on Applying the BOPPPS Teaching Model to Improve English Reading Skills of Junior High School Students in Fujian, China

This study investigated the effectiveness of the BOPPPS teaching model in improving English reading skills among junior high school students in Fujian Province, China. Using a quasi-experimental design, 102 ninth-grade students from two classes participated: an experimental group (n = 51) taught with BOPPPS for 12 weeks (12 sessions) and a control group (*n = 51) receiving traditional instruction. The A2 Key for Schools test measured reading ability pre- and post-intervention. Data analysis (independent/paired t-tests, ANCOVA) revealed that students in the BOPPPS group showed significantly greater improvement in English reading ability compared to the control group. The findings indicate the BOPPPS model is well-suited for developing junior high English reading curricula to enhance student proficiency.

As China’s higher education transitions from extensive expansion to intensive development, the ‘New Liberal Arts’ concept has emerged as a pivotal strategic direction for transforming humanities disciplines. This approach emphasizes interdisciplinary integration, parallel development of theory and practice, and optimizing talent cultivation models guided by societal demands. The diversified economic structure and high-quality development trajectory of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area present new demands for talent cultivation, curriculum design, and pedagogical reform within university Human Resource Management (HRM) programs. Taking Guangzhou Huashang College as the research subject, this paper analyses the core competencies required for HRM programs under the New Liberal Arts framework through policy document analysis, literature review, and field research. It identifies shortcomings in the current curriculum system regarding knowledge structure, practical pathways, and cross-disciplinary integration. Guided by Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and Competency-Based Education (CBE) frameworks, a new curriculum architecture was designed comprising four pillars: general education and humanities literacy, professional core competencies, cross-disciplinary integration, and practical innovation. Practical explorations were undertaken in areas such as university-enterprise collaboration and industry-education integration. Preliminary outcomes demonstrate that the new scheme comprehensively enhances students’ data comprehension, strategic awareness, and humanistic sensitivity, providing a reference paradigm for the high-quality development of HRM programs within the new liberal arts context.

Research on the Application of Information-Based Flipped Classroom Teaching Model in Nursing Education of Rheumatology and Immunology Department

Objective: To explore the application effect of an information-based flipped classroom teaching model in nursing education of rheumatology and immunology, providing empirical evidence for optimizing specialized nursing education models. Methods: Eighty nursing students from the 2021 grade of Xi’an Medical University were selected as research subjects and randomly divided into an experimental group (n = 40) and a control group (n = 40) using a random number table method. The control group received traditional lecture-based teaching, while the experimental group underwent information-based flipped classroom teaching. The theoretical knowledge scores and practical operation assessment scores of the two groups were compared after teaching, and the teaching satisfaction of the experimental group students was evaluated through a questionnaire survey. Results: The theoretical knowledge score (85.60 ± 5.20) and practical operation score (88.30 ± 4.70) of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group (76.20 ± 6.50) and (75.80 ± 5.90), respectively. The differences were statistically significant (p < 0.05). The satisfaction scores of all dimensions in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (p < 0.05). Conclusion: The information-based flipped classroom teaching model can effectively improve the quality of nursing teaching in rheumatology and immunology, enhance students’ knowledge mastery and practical abilities, and is worthy of promotion and application in clinical nursing teaching.

Research on the Cultivation of Top-notch Innovative Talents in Universities from the Perspective of the Integration of Education, Science and Technology, and Talent

To better clarify the impact of the integration of education, science and technology, and talent on the cultivation of top-notch innovative talents in universities, this study adopts the fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (fsQCA) method. Using 23 universities in China as the research sample, the findings reveal that: (1) none of the three individual factors, education, science and technology, or talent can independently constitute either a necessary or sufficient condition for high-quality cultivation of top-notch innovative talents; (2) the sufficient condition for achieving high-quality cultivation lies in specific configurations of multiple condition variables; (3) five configurations were identified, from which three distinct paths toward achieving high-quality cultivation were derived. Accordingly, different universities can, based on their own resource endowments and local contexts, select appropriate cultivation paths to effectively enhance the quality of top-notch innovative talent training.

To address the widespread challenges of insufficient classroom participation, difficulty maintaining learning interest, and inaccurate learning outcome assessment in existing teaching models, this study introduces a hybrid and dual-teacher classroom model. Based on big data and online platforms, this study constructs a music teaching resource system that integrates online micro-lessons, real-time interaction, virtual choirs, collaborative composition, and learning behavior tracking to enhance the openness and personalization of teaching. Through comparative experiments, the study focuses on changes in student knowledge acquisition, musical skills, learning interest, and classroom engagement. Results show that the experimental group significantly outperforms the control group in terms of improvement in knowledge test scores, rhythm and pitch performance, task completion rate, and scores on the learning motivation questionnaire. Differences are particularly prominent in interaction frequency and the expressiveness of the work. The study shows that Group A demonstrates significant improvement in all three dimensions: interest increases from 3.1 to 4.2; autonomous learning motivation increases from 3.0 to 4.1; emotional engagement increases from 3.2 to 4.3, demonstrating strong positive effects. Experimental Group B shows the greatest improvement, with interest increasing from 3.0 to 4.5, autonomous learning motivation from 2.9 to 4.4, and emotional engagement from 3.1 to 4.6, indicating the most significant improvements in learning attitudes and emotions.

In the context of the new era of education, advanced mathematics not only undertakes the function of knowledge transmission but also plays a vital role in cultivating logical thinking, scientific spirit, and value orientation. However, traditional teaching has overemphasized knowledge instillation while neglecting value guidance, making it difficult to meet the demands of cultivating interdisciplinary talents. This study introduces the OBE concept and constructs a “knowledge–ability–value” teaching framework, integrating outcome orientation, backward design, and diversified evaluation to promote the systematic incorporation of ideological and political education into the curriculum. Taking limits, definite integrals, and series as representative knowledge points, the paper designs case-based pathways to foster dialectical thinking, patriotism, and scientific spirit. Practice has shown that this model effectively unifies knowledge education and value education, enhancing students’ logical reasoning, sense of responsibility, and scientific literacy. The study provides an operational pathway for the reform of ideological and political education in advanced mathematics courses and carries practical significance for implementing the goal of “all-round education.”

An Investigation of German Language Teaching Model in Colleges and Universities based on the Production-Oriented Approach

This study explores the application of Production-Oriented Approach (POA) in teaching German to nursing students in colleges and universities. Focusing on the requirements of the German B1 exam, the study takes the thematic unit of “Movement” as an example, and designs the teaching through the links of “drive-enable-evaluate”. The results show that POA effectively improves students’ speaking and writing output, but there are still deficiencies in reading and listening. Accordingly, this study has proposed the strategies of “vocabulary in-depth facilitation” and “accurate matching of listening and writing” to optimize the input materials and skills training, achieve the goal of “learning and using”, and provide a practical path for teaching German for Special Purposes. This provides a practical path for the teaching of German for special purposes.

To investigate mainstream kindergarten teachers’ attitudes towards inclusive education for children with special needs, this study surveyed 422 teachers from 26 inclusive kindergartens in Suzhou. The findings indicate that while teachers in inclusive settings possess some understanding of children with special needs, this knowledge remains limited. Teachers expressed greater willingness to accept children with special needs into mainstream kindergartens when adequate teaching support is available and parents of typically developing children are supportive. Based on these findings, recommendations are proposed to provide empirical reference points for advancing preschool inclusive education in China.
