Efficacy of Early Enteral Nutrition Therapy in ICU Patients with Respiratory Failure and its Impact on Blood Gas Analysis Indicators
Abstract
Objective: To explore the effectiveness of early enteral nutrition therapy in ICU patients with respiratory failure. Methods: A total of 76 ICU patients with respiratory failure, admitted from May 2024 to May 2025, were included in the study. They were divided into an observation group and a control group using a random number table method, and relevant treatment indicators were compared. Results: The total effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (p < 0.05). After treatment, the observation group showed superior lung function, organ function, health status, nutritional status, body mass index, and blood gas analysis indicators compared to the control group (p < 0.05). Conclusion: Early enteral nutrition therapy is effective in treating ICU patients with respiratory failure and is beneficial for improving their lung function, nutritional status, and blood gas parameters, making it worthy of promotion.
