Abstract

Query fever (Q fever) is a globally spread zoonotic disease caused by Coxiella burnetii, commonly found in natural foci but rarely seen in Hebei Province. The clinical manifestations of Q fever are diverse and nonspecific, which often leads to missed or incorrect diagnoses in clinical practice. This article reports a case of acute Q fever diagnosed in an elderly patient using metagenomic next-generation sequencing.
