Abstract

This paper explores how the physiological characteristics and behavioral patterns of the elderly influence the design of elderly-friendly living spaces. It introduces key design principles and technical applications including barrier-free design and energy-saving materials. The discussion includes elderly-friendly evaluation models, research on intergenerational integration communities and other relevant topics. This paper emphasizes the need to improve design standards, promote policy innovation and establish a comprehensive theoretical framework to support the development of inclusive and sustainable environments for aging populations.
